Training Buddy
Training Buddy, developed for the Games4Health 2016 contest (https://g4h2016.utah.spigit.com/Page/home2), is a turn-based battle game in which players exercise to level up their character for battles. It aims to use gameplay as an incentive for players to track their steps and time at the gym. The pitch for this game won 3rd place in the Corporate Wellness Challenge for the contest. I developed this game in Unity as part of a three person team. I was responsible for most of the programming, including the battle system and data management. This was developed using the C# language. This was my first formal experience developing a game as part of a team, and I learned the importance of communication and dividing work evenly. I plan to use my knowledge from making this game to develop more effective code collaboration strategies for future projects using software engineering methodologies.
